38 (When she gets married to Levi Ashby)

Hair:

Height:
5'7”

Personality:
Capable of great love and compassion, Susan cares deeply for other people and is earnest in her desire to help others. While usually calm and collected, she has a free-spirited nature and a spontaneous wild streak. She's courageous, kindhearted, and highly intuitive. Susan is excellent at reading and understanding people. She has very strong morals, for which she will passionately defend. While Susan doesn't consider herself a pacifist; she dislikes conflict and violence, though understands that sometimes force is necessary. When stressed she can be prone to emotional outbursts. She likes to be appreciated and praised but, more often then naught, she won't give herself credit when it's deserved. She can be very hard on herself and will blame herself when things go wrong. While very intelligent, she can behave irrationally or illogically in stressful situations. She tends to think with her heart more than her head.

(Personality Type: INFP “The Idealist”)

Weapon of Choice: While Susan prefers non-violence and doesn't know how to fight in hand to hand combat, she does carry a Taser around for her own protection. You can never be too careful, after all.

Skills:
Susan is an expert in psychology. She also has proficient emergency medical skills for those times when first aid is necessary.

Powers:
Susan is an average human woman with absolutely no special powers or abilities.

Weaknesses:
When you know how to press her buttons she's easy to anger. She's also a completely normal human being, with all the weaknesses that implies. Including (but not limited to) being stabbed, shot, poisoned, getting sick, etc., etc.

Fears/Insecurities:
Susan also has a need to prove herself by living up to her parent’s memory. She's also afraid of being underestimated, whether it is for her gender, her lack of experience, or the fact that she is fairly young. Due to a fire that killed both of her parents when she was a child, Susan has a deep phobia of fire. Even matches can make her uneasy.

Family

Peter and Mary Crowe:
Susan's father and mother. They went to the same high-school and were actually high-school sweethearts. They studied the same profession too, and it was all very romantic when the two get married just after graduating. Peter and Mary were both doctors at Arkham Asylum, back when it was a respectable position and the worst Gotham had was a bunch of gangsters. Their marriage ended poorly, or at least it would have if the two hadn't died in a fire that started in their apartment building. While Susan loved both her parents, she felt more of a connection to her father then her mother.

Charlotte Mabry:
Susan's grandmother. At the time when Susan's parents died, she was the only living relative Susan had left. Being a conservative and highly religious old crone, she didn't take well to Susan's 'rebellious attitude'. Her grandmother treated Susan very coldly and punished her for her adventurous and inquisitive nature her parents had always encouraged. When Charlotte finally died, Susan wasn't too broken up about it.

Friends/Acquaintances

Dr. Jeremiah Arkham:
Jeremiah Arkham was a friend to Susan's parents and he's offered the same amount of courtesy to their daughter, allowing her a little more freedom then most people in her position would actually be allowed to have. Susan respects Dr. Arkham, both as her boss and a psychiatrist, as her parents always spoke highly of him. In these recent times, however, his increasing level of stress and anger over the current state of Arkham Asylum has started to worry her.

Dr. Joan Leland: Joan Leland has been on the Arkham staff for several years and she and Susan have actually developed a decently friendly relationship. Susan has a lot of respect towards Joan due to her patience and experience at Arkham. Likewise, Leland has developed a respect for Susan due to her recent accomplishments, making Arkham Asylum seem less like a joke to the rest of the city.

Dr. Bartholomew:
Susan's relationship to Dr. Bartholomew is a little mixed. While he is generally a perfectly kind and reasonable man, he is the most gullible doctor Arkham has on staff. Many of the releases that ended poorly in the past several years, he had a hand in. His incompetence has been universally criticized by many, often leaving him overly anxious. Susan feels sorry for him, at the same time wishes he'd take his own advice and retire already.

Dr. Louis Towell:
A doctor recently hired to work at Arkham Asylum. He and Susan have a deep animosity for one another. Louis, being older than her, more experienced, and having worked very hard to get where he is in life sees Susan as someone who got to where she is, not on her own merits, but the merits of her parents. An observation that is not entirely untrue. He views Susan as someone who does not know what she's doing and thinks she's easily manipulated into letting dangerous criminals walk free and has made no qualms voicing his opinion of her. Susan, on the other hand, thinks Louis is an asshole. However, their shared therapy sessions with Harvey Dent led to them coming to an understanding.

Dora Smithy:
Dora was Nora Fries' sister who blamed Victor for taking Nora away from her and getting her killed. So when she heard about Victor being locked up in Arkham, Dora decided to take things into her own hands. She joined the Arkham staff as a nurse and tried to assassinate Fries, but her attempts repeatedly failed. During this time, Dora and Susan seemed to get close and become friends, Susan had no idea of Dora's intentions. A few years later, Dora tried to kill a newly reformed Victor Fries and was in an accident, caused by Susan. Dora was doused in various cryogenic chemicals and escaped. Dora has not been seen since.

Seth Harvey:
Susan's former boyfriend/fiancée. While generally a nice guy, he had a problem with alcoholism for several years. He also tended to be a violent drunk and Susan actually had to go to the hospital twice from being hurt by him, but she always excused his behavior and labeled the outbursts as 'accidents'. The relationship lasted about two years before she and Seth decided it would be best to go separate ways, so she could get on with her life and he could hopefully get the help he desperately needed.

Edward Nygma ‘Formerly’ the Riddler:
Nygma was the second notable rogue Susan was allowed to see, and her first 'success'. (If you can call it that. She wouldn't.) Her therapy sessions included her fiancee to be kidnapped and mentally tormented a bit but after a few years of sessions Edward Nygma was released from Arkham and started working as a private eye. To date, this has been the longest Edward Nygma has spent out of Arkham and not gone back to crime. However long it lasts is a question only time can answer. Susan actually called on Nygma during her sessions with Victor Fries, when someone was trying to murder him. She hired him to discover the true culprit, which he did. The two seem to have a fairly civil relationship, as seen the few times Susan has seen him since then.

Victor Fries Formerly Mr. Fries:
Fries was the third member of Gotham's major rogues that Susan would be assigned to. At first Fries treated her with the same cold indifference that he did everyone else, however, Susan opted for some more unusual methods for trying to reach Fries on an emotional level, such as taking him to mourn at his wife's grave. It was around this time that Fries was the target of an assassination attempt by one of the Arkham staff, Dora Smithy, Nora Fries' sister. While his condition was cured with the help of Wayne Industries he did end up losing his right leg from the knee down.

After a little over two years of therapy walked out of Arkham a free man. He is currently working researching cryogenic technology for Wayne Industries believing that while he couldn't save his wife, his research could save many lives and that it’s what his beloved wife Nora would have wanted for him. Susan makes a habit to check on Victor periodically to be sure things are going well.

Good Guys

Batman:
Having come from Metropolis Susan was no stranger to the Superhero types. Of course, Gotham and Metropolis being like night and day the few chances she's gotten to see or interact with Batman are always interesting for her. She's very grateful for his help and doesn't believe that his actions are responsible for bringing the rogues gallery into existence, like some others she could mention. Recently, though Susan has been putting a great deal of thought into whom the Batman may or may not be...

Bad guys

Jonathan Crane aka the Scarecrow:
Susan's first session in the asylum was with Crane, it ended poorly as Susan lost her temper and exposed to Crane's fear toxin. It forced Susan to face her fear of fire and Susan never had another session with him. Needless to say, she doesn't like him at all.
